Gokil! Gorillaz baru aja ngebuka konser empat hari mereka di Copper Box Arena, London dengan dua pertunjukan yang bikin pecah pada hari Jumat, 29 Agustus, dan Sabtu, 30 Agustus. Di malam pertama, mereka bawain album debut mereka yang self-titled dari tahun 2001. Nah, di malam berikutnya, mereka balik lagi dengan konser Demon Days secara keseluruhan!
Konser ini pas banget sama minggu terakhir pameran ulang tahun ke-25 House of Kong milik Gorillaz, yang udah dimulai dari tanggal 8 Agustus dan berakhir tanggal 3 September. Sesuai janji, mereka nostalgia ke era setiap album dengan nge-recreate format konser live dan visual original dari setiap rilisan.

Pas konser hari Jumat, Gorillaz ngerayain album debut mereka dengan mainin beberapa lagu dari proyek itu untuk pertama kalinya sejak tahun 2002: “Man Research (Clapper),” “Sound Check (Gravity),” “Starshine,” dan “Slow Country.” Bikin kangen banget!
Sementara itu, di konser Demon Days, mereka kedatangan De La Soul, Bootie Brown dari The Pharcyde, dan Michelle Ndegwa. Michelle gantiin Neneh Cherry dan Shaun Ryder di lagu “Kids with Guns” dan “DARE,” keren abis!

Meskipun ini satu-satunya tanggal tur Gorillaz di tahun 2025, frontman mereka, Damon Albarn, lagi fokus banget sama band ini setelah reuni Blur di tahun 2023 dan opera terbarunya, The Magic Flute II: La Malédiction, yang tayang perdana di Paris musim semi ini. Dia juga sempet nge-tease album baru Gorillaz yang bakal rilis tahun ini!
