The Indonesian national football team has released the list of 44 players who have been called up by Head Coach John Herdman in preparation for two key international matches scheduled for June 2026. This move signifies a crucial step towards a new era under Herdman's guidance.

According to Media Indonesia, all these players have been selected to face two tough opponents. The Garuda Squad is set to face Oman on June 5, 2026, and Mozambique on June 9, 2026, at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium in Jakarta.

Herdman chose a mixed strategy by selecting players from both the domestic league and foreign clubs. This decision included the return of key players like Maarten Paes (Ajax), Jay Idzes (Sassuolo), and Marselino Ferdinan (Trencin).

The recent call-up has also given a chance to Beckham Putra from Persib Bandung to join the attacking line-up. The 44-player list will be whittled down by Herdman and the team coaching staff to form a final squad for the scheduled matches.

The upcoming international friendly matches mark an inaugural test for Herdman, who has just joined Indonesian football. Here are the detailed schedules for the Garuda Squad:
