Four-leaf clovers are said to bring good luck to the finders, and one Korean man makes over $1 million a year by growing them in his greenhouse!
Hong In Heon, a Korean floricultural entrepreneur, has found an alternative way to make a fortune after over 20 years in the industry. He has a greenhouse full of four-leaf clovers that can be hand-picked and sold to cafes and restaurants all over Korea.
The special thing about Hong In Heon's four-leaf clovers is that they are edible. He sells them in packs of 500, which cost around $150 or more. He sells about 10,000 clovers a day, bringing in a significant profit.
The four-leaf clovers are used as edible decorations on coffee menus and meals. Hong In Heon has been perfecting his technique for over 9 years and has found a natural and genetically-modified- free way to grow the edible clovers.
Hong In Heon appeared on Daedongyeojido, an informational Korean TV program, and shared his story of how he started a business of growing four-leaf clovers.
