Three years ago, South African pop star Tyla tweeted a simple yet ambitious message to Disney: "hmu when you free." Now, it seems her wish has been magically granted! The queen of A-Pop is set to make her highly anticipated voice acting debut in the Sub-Saharan edition of the beloved animated film, *Toy Story 5*, which premieres on June 19.

Fans can look forward to seeing Tyla bring to life an inflatable flamingo character. Sharing her excitement in a video posted to Disney Africa's social media, Tyla exclaimed, "Come and watch with your whole family because your girl Tyla is in the movie as the inflatable flamingo!"

Tyla expressed her absolute delight upon receiving the call from Pixar. "I just couldn't believe the offer was presented to me," she shared in a recent video, describing the opportunity as a true "full-circle moment." She fondly recalled growing up with the *Toy Story* franchise, a series that holds a special place in her family's heart.

"I just grew up watching *Toy Story*, it’s such a big movie in my family," she said. "My parents love it, my whole family loves it. We all love going to the cinema and watching every new one." Tyla also highlighted how the series has resonated across generations, addressing themes like the evolution of toys with technology. Clips have even surfaced showing the star in the recording booth, meticulously working on her lines to perfect her character.
