The Indonesian Army's commitment to supporting infrastructure development in rural areas is evident in the construction of the Aramco Bridge in Kapa Seusak Village, Aceh Selatan. As of May 15, 2026, the bridge's progress has shown positive development, with personnel from the Satgas unit working intensively alongside local residents.
The Aramco Bridge construction is a solution to the various obstacles faced by the community, particularly in terms of transportation access and mobility between regions. For years, residents in rural areas have had to contend with difficulties when crossing connecting routes due to damaged bridges and limited infrastructure.
The community's hopes are now rising with the arrival of the bridge construction, which is expected to open up access to isolated villages and facilitate community activities in various sectors of life.
Currently, the Satgas personnel are focused on completing the construction of the bridge's boundary pillars as part of the finalization of the construction. The work is being carried out with great care to ensure that the construction results are strong, safe, and durable, so that they can be used by the community in the long term.
In the field, Satgas personnel and local residents are working together with great enthusiasm, despite having to face various challenges, from heavy terrain to unpredictable weather and limited access to transportation materials. However, these conditions have not dampened the spirit of cooperation between the army and residents in accelerating the bridge construction process.
The field coordinator of the Aramco Bridge construction, Captain Inf Faisal Kurniawan, stated that the Satgas unit is maximizing work at all construction points in the Kodim 0107/Aceh Selatan area. According to him, the acceleration of construction is being carried out without compromising the quality of the construction, so that the results of the construction can truly benefit the community.
"Satgas personnel, along with local residents, are working maximally in the field to accelerate the completion of the bridge construction. It is hoped that the bridge can be completed quickly and be functional, so that the community's hopes for adequate access can be realized soon," said Captain Inf Faisal.
He explained that the Aramco Bridge construction is not just a physical project, but also a real manifestation of the army's concern for the needs of the community in remote areas. The presence of the bridge is expected to open up access to isolated villages and become a driver of economic growth for local residents.
Furthermore, Captain Inf Faisal added that the infrastructure development is part of the army's commitment to supporting the President of Indonesia's priority programs, particularly in the effort to evenly distribute development to remote areas.
"It is hoped that with the presence of this program, the various obstacles faced by the community can be overcome, especially in terms of transportation access, economy, education, and health services," he added.
The presence of the Aramco Bridge is expected to greatly assist the community in facilitating their daily activities. The distribution of agricultural and plantation products, which was previously hindered by limited road access, is expected to become easier and faster. Additionally, school children and community members who require health services will also be better assisted with the provision of safe and adequate connecting routes.
The community's enthusiasm for the bridge construction is extremely high. Residents are hoping that the construction can be completed soon, so that community activities are no longer hindered, especially during the rainy season, which often makes connecting routes difficult to pass.
One of the residents of Kapa Seusak Village, Siti Aisyah, expressed her gratitude and hope that the bridge construction can be completed smoothly.
"If the bridge is completed, our plantation products will definitely be easier to transport out of the village. We hope that the construction can proceed smoothly until it is completed," she said.
The development program carried out by the Indonesian Army through Kodim 0107/Aceh Selatan is proof that the army's presence is not only for maintaining regional security but also for helping to overcome the difficulties of the people through infrastructure development, the benefits of which can be directly felt by the community.
