BANDUNG, KOMPAS.com – A fascinating phenomenon occurred in the AFC voting.

Persib Bandung midfielder, Adam Alis, managed to lead the vote count with a very significant margin, even surpassing global megastars Cristiano Ronaldo, until Sunday (7/6/2026).

A dramatic and impressive performance by Adam Alis earned him a spot in the Magic Moment of the Season AFC nominations.

Adam Alis played as the hero in Persib's dramatic win against Selangor FC, scoring two decisive goals that turned the score from 2-0 in favor of Selangor into a 3-2 win for Persib.

Cristiano Ronaldo made it to the nominations with his opening goal that sparked Al Nassr's big win against Al-Wasl, 4-0.

Despite competing with big names on the Asian and global football stage, the voting results showed Adam Alis' dominance.

The voting gap between Adam Alis and Cristiano Ronaldo was extremely large.

Adam Alis confessed to being surprised when he initially found out he was in the prestigious nominations.

"I was surprised when I found out that I made it to the list. Many people were shocked and tagged me, and it turned out that I was nominated for Magic Moment of the Season AFC. I'm competing with Ronaldo and Kingsley Coman," said Adam when contacted, Sunday (7/6/2026).

This exceptional performance by the former Indonesian national team player is evident from the percentage release.

As of today, Adam Alis leads the top spot of the voting with an incredible 99.38%. Cristiano Ronaldo followed closely behind with 0.42%.

No other nominators have been able to touch one percent due to the massive voting flow towards Adam Alis.

Adam openly expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Persib's loyal fans, Bobotoh, who were the driving force behind Adam's massive voting.

He sees this massive support from Indonesian football enthusiasts as proof that Indonesian fans' militancy cannot be underestimated at the international level.

"Although we couldn't rival Ronaldo's followers, we were able to outvote them in this nomination, Bobotoh, you are the best.
