K-Drama actor Yoo Yeon Seok recently found himself at the center of fiery backlash over his blatantly misogynistic policing of women’s clothes.

The controversy erupted from a post on X (formerly Twitter), asking netizens to name problematic Korean actors. In response, a netizen named Yoo Yeon Seok posted a video clip where he voiced some disturbing opinions about women’s clothing. The actor claimed that if women cover up too much around a man, the man automatically believes that she is not interested in him. So, in order to win a man’s attention, women should wear revealing clothing around him.

He went ahead and targeted his co-star Moon Chae Won, who was sitting right beside him, telling her that her conservative dressing was the reason behind her lack of a dating life.

The clip, originally from 2016 when Yoo and Moon were promoting the movie The Mood of the Day, has resurfaced multiple times in the past, with netizens questioning Yoo Yeon Seok’s views. This time, again, the clip has ignited fiery criticism for the actor, with many even scrutinizing the industry at broad.
