Exploring the latest indie game releases and upcoming titles

Since Nintendo decided on higher prices for physical Switch 2 games compared to digital ones, Amazon decided to push back against these higher prices.
The retailer has joined Walmart in offering discounts on several major upcoming releases, making physical copies more appealing to gamers who still prefer building their libraries with physical games.
As of now, Star Fox and Splatoon Raiders are both available to preorder for $49.94, down from their original $59.99 price tag. These deals don't stop there – Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave has been discounted to $69.97, while Nintendo Switch Sports Resort has dropped to $49.94.
These discounts effectively erase much of the new physical premium Nintendo is introducing. Star Fox, for example, carries a $49.99 digital price tag but a $59.99 physical MSRP. Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave actually carries a $79.99 physical MSRP, but $69.99 digital.
Ultimately, seeing these games discounted before launch is an encouraging sign for anyone looking to build out their physical library. Whether it's out of passion for game conservation or a fightback against the digital revolution, gamers can opt for whatever reason they prefer.
Another benefit of these preorders is that you only need to pay for the game when it ships (per the standard preorder policy of Amazon and Walmart). Digital purchases require immediate payment, unlike buying digitally where you have to cough up the cash right away.
That's either out of the goodness of Amazon's corporate heart, or more likely to avoid losing potential customers.
But remember, there's no guarantee these discounts will remain available until launch or even after.
