Arne Slot has given an update on Mohamed Salah's injury, which forced the star forward off the pitch during Liverpool's 3-1 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Salah was substituted after 59 minutes at Anfield following a problem, and with the Egyptian set to leave the Reds at the end of the season, Slot was asked in the post-match press conference whether the injury would rule him out of the remaining four games of the 2025-26 season.
"We don't know, that's the best answer I can give because if I said it's possible then every headline would be 'there's a chance..."
S Slot added that while they couldn't provide a timeline for Salah's return, the club would be keeping a close eye on the player's progress and that, given the current period of the season, there weren't many games left to worry about.
"We have to wait and see how the injury is and whether he can be back on the pitch," Slot said.
The Liverpool manager continued to express optimism about Salah's chances of making a comeback, citing the player's normally robust approach to injury rehabilitation. "What I do know about Mo is he's taken care of his body incredibly well over the past few years, so he'll need a minimum amount of time to recover from any injury," he said.
S Slot finished by wishing Salah a speedy recovery and expressing hope that he would be available for the remainder of the season. "Let's hope for the best and he's available for the last bit [of the season]."
