The first game took place on June 13, and the final game will be on July 9. We can expect to see some high-profile teams play at Gillette Stadium, including third seed France and fourth seed England.
Here's a breakdown of the full schedule for Boston Stadium, starting with the five group stage matches:

As the world's biggest football fans get ready for the tournament, they need to know the format. The 2026 World Cup kicked off on June 11 in Mexico with two matches. There are a total of 48 teams in the group stage, followed by a series of knockout stages, including a round of 32, then 16, and the quarterfinals, semifinals, and the final.
The final match will take place at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on Sunday, July 19, 2026.
Each match is 90 minutes long, divided into two 45-minute halves, with stoppage time included.
Group stage matches can end in a tie, and according to FIFA regulations, if a match in the knockout stages ends in a draw, extra time will be played for 30 minutes. If the match is still tied, it will be decided by a best-of-five shootout. If there's still no winner, each round becomes sudden death.
