Brazil Reaches Copa America 2021 Final, Awaiting Winner of Argentina vs Colombia

Brazil has secured a spot in the Copa America 2021 final after defeating Peru. They now wait for the winner of Argentina vs Colombia in the final match.

The Copa America 2021 semifinals featured Brazil vs Peru and Argentina vs Colombia, with Brazil playing first.

In their match against Peru at Estadio Olimpico Nilton Santos in Rio de Janeiro on July 6, 2021, Brazil emerged victorious with a score of 1-0. The winning goal was scored by Lucas Paqueta.

Paqueta scored in the 35th minute after receiving a pass from Neymar, who had previously dodged three Peru players in the penalty box. This goal was the only one scored in the match, securing Brazil's spot in the final.

Peru's loss meant that the host team, Brazil, waits for the winner of Argentina vs Colombia.

The matchup between Argentina and Colombia will take place at Estadio Nacional Mane Garrincha on July 7, 2021. Argentina is favored to win.

Although this is the case, Colombia is not an easy opponent for Argentina. In their last three matches, Colombia has given Argentina a run for their money, holding them to a draw twice and winning once.

Argentina is counting on Lionel Messi to bring them victory, who has scored four goals so far in Copa America 2021, the most of any player. If they win, Argentina will face Brazil in the final at Estadio Maracana on July 11, 2021.
