Jodie Comer faced her fears by starring in her first movie musical, Stuffed. Although she had expressed her desire to do a musical before, she revealed that she was terrified when it was finally time to start filming.
In this romance-horror musical, Comer plays the role of Araminta, a taxidermist with a secret ambition to stuff a human specimen. Her on-screen journey leads her to an unexpected love story with Bernie, a lonely man played by Harry Melling.
Comer praised her co-star Melling, calling him a 'genius.' The actress also opened up about her future career ambitions, revealing that she would love to do an animation, specifically referencing her dream role in Shrek 5.
Stuffed is the feature directorial debut from Theo Rhys, based on his 2021 BAFTA-nominated short film of the same name. Comer and Melling shot the film in Wales, but a release date has yet to be announced.
Currently, fans can catch Comer in The Death of Robin Hood, alongside Hugh Jackman, in U.S. cinemas.
