Bud Cauley Wins RBC Canadian Open in Emotional Victory

Bud Cauley has secured his first PGA Tour win at the RBC Canadian Open, held at TPC Toronto.

Cauley's emotional victory came after a five-under final round of 65, wrapping up his first win on the PGA Tour in 239 starts.

The American's win was a testament to his perseverance, having suffered a car crash in 2018 that left him with five broken ribs, a broken left leg, and a collapsed lung.

Cauley's road to recovery was long, but he eventually returned to professional golf in 2024.

In the final round of the RBC Canadian Open, Cauley birdied the eighth hole and then birdied three holes in a row from the 11th to the 13th, giving him the momentum he needed to push on.

A birdie at the 15th moved him four strokes clear with just three holes remaining, and he eventually finished with a two-stroke win.

Cauley's victory was met with emotional scenes, and he credited the people who had helped him throughout his career.
