Carlos Alcaraz Reaches Monte Carlo Masters 2025 Finals

Carlos Alcaraz has continued his impressive start at the Monte Carlo Masters, reaching his first ATP Masters 1000 final in 13 months.

The Spanish tennis player defeated his compatriot Alejandro Davidovich Fokina 7-6(2), 6-4 on Saturday to advance to his first final at this level since winning Indian Wells last year.

'It's been a long time,' Alcaraz said about his 13-month absence from the Masters 1000 finals.

'I just had to be patient and believe that this moment would come again.'

Alcaraz is now waiting for Alex de Minaur or Lorenzo Musetti to compete for his first Masters 1000 trophy on a court outside Madrid.

If Alcaraz claims his first Monte Carlo title and sixth Masters 1000 title, he will overtake Alexander Zverev in the world rankings.

By reaching the final, the Spanish player has already surpassed Jannik Sinner to take the No. 1 spot in the ATP Live Race To Turin.
