Carly Rae Jepsen Announces Double Album 'Day and Night'

After a brief hiatus, Canadian pop sensation Carly Rae Jepsen is back with a bang, announcing her eighth studio album 'Day and Night', which is set to drop on September 18th via Interscope Records. Fans can pre-order the album now and gear up for a sonic adventure like no other.

In a thrilling move, Jepsen has revealed that 'Day and Night' will be a double album, boasting an impressive 24 tracks, divided into two distinct sonic palettes. The 'Day' side will be all about organic and raw sounds, blending live instrumentation with hints of Seventies-inspired psychedelic pop, while the 'Night' side will take listeners on an exploratory journey, shifting into a sleek, synth-driven world of dance pop.

'It's a very unique situation, releasing two albums at once,' Jepsen said in a press release. 'Day and Night are separate albums, but they work together. They're not like two sides of the same coin, they're more like two different coins, and they have different values, but they still work together.'

Jepsen has a history of pushing boundaries with her music, and 'Day and Night' promises to be no exception. The album marks her first record since 2023's B-sides collection 'The Loveliest Time', which she released to critical acclaim. With a career spanning over a decade, Jepsen has established herself as a true musical chameleon, effortlessly switching between genres and styles to create something fresh and exciting with each new release.

Lead single 'On Wires' is set to drop this Friday, June 26th, giving fans a tantalizing glimpse into the magic that awaits on 'Day and Night'. With its haunting melody and Jepsen's signature vocals, 'On Wires' is the perfect primer for what's to come.

But Jepsen's return to the music scene isn't just about the album itself – it's also about a new era of her life. After tying the knot with producer Cole M.G.N. in 2025, Jepsen has welcomed her first child in March 2026, solidifying her position as a multifaceted artist and a dedicated mother.

In a bold move, Jepsen will also take the stage at New York City's All Things Go Festival on September 27th, marking her first live performance of the year. It's clear that Jepsen is ready to take on the music world once again, and 'Day and Night' promises to be a thrilling ride from start to finish.

As Jepsen dives headfirst into this new chapter, fans can't help but wonder: what's next for this Canadian pop queen? With her unwavering dedication to her craft and her unrelenting passion for innovation, the sky's the limit for Jepsen.
