Charles Leclerc Secures 4-Year Contract Extension with Scuderia Ferrari

Charles Leclerc has earned the Golden Boot with Ferrari and signed a four-year contract extension to the end of 2028. The Monegasque driver, set to compete at his home Monaco Grand Prix, will continue with the Scuderia Ferrari until the end of 2028, announced by the team and driver in a video.

"This is the team I love and have always dreamed of being a part of since I was little, and after all these years it has become my second family," the 28-year-old driver said.

As a product of their young academy, Leclerc has been working with Ferrari since 2016, making him Ferrari's second driver with the most starts, with 155 starts, recently surpassing Kimi Raikkonen and only behind Michael Schumacher. He has won eight races and clinched 52 podiums, including two victories at Monza in 2019 and 2024 and an emotional victory in Monaco in 2024.

"Being a Ferrari driver is a dream, but also a responsibility I have never taken lightly," Leclerc said. "I will continue to give everything I have to bring this team back to its rightful place on the top for all of Maranello and, above all, for the tifosi, whose spirit is the heartbeat of Scuderia."

The Grand Prix of Monaco takes place this weekend, and while Mercedes have won all the races this year, Leclerc will aim to win the Grand Prix again on the tracks where he grew up, and is optimistic that the new, smaller, and electric car will make the Monaco Grand Prix this year even more exciting.
