Crazy Taxi World Tour Revs Up for a Global Adventure

Crazy Taxi, a legendary arcade racing game, is set to take the modern gaming industry by storm. At the Xbox Games Showcase 2026 on Sunday, Sega officially announced their latest entry, Crazy Taxi World Tour, as reported by Kaorinusantara. With Crazy Taxi World Tour, Sega is bringing back the reckless taxi driving action to a global stage on a much larger scale.

The game developers ensured that the new entry will have a cross-platform release format, suitable for the latest gaming generation. The long-awaited Crazy Taxi World Tour is set to launch in 2027, and gamers can experience it on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC through Steam and Microsoft Store.

Behind the scenes of this latest project, Sega has openly revealed their use of AI generative technology during the game's development. This modern technology was utilized by the company as a creative tool for their developers. By leveraging AI, Sega aimed to provide a better and more efficient gaming experience for their users.

However, the company made it clear that the use of AI generative technology in no way affected or involved the creation of characters or performances in Crazy Taxi World Tour. This announcement showcases Sega's commitment to ethical boundaries in digital technology in the creative industry.

This is a follow-up to Sega's long-term plan, which announced a reboot of this iconic franchise a few years ago. With its initial release in arcades in February 1999, the series quickly grew, spawning various sequels and mobile releases.

From Crazy Taxi: Catch a Ride on the Game Boy Advance to Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars on the PlayStation Portable, this series has made its mark on gaming consoles and platforms. Crazy Taxi City Rush and Crazy Taxi Tycoon, the mobile games, further expanded the series' reach on Android and iOS devices.

As the highly anticipated Crazy Taxi World Tour prepares to release in the future, fans can expect an exhilarating new experience.
