Critical Fire Weather Alert in Effect for the Inland Northwest

A Red Flag Warning takes effect on Tuesday, as a dry cold front brings strong winds, low humidity, and hot conditions, increasing the risk of wildfires in the Inland Northwest.

The warning spans from 10am to 11pm, with sustained winds of over 20mph and gusts reaching up to 50mph possible.

Residents can expect highs in the mid-80s in Spokane and Coeur d'Alene, while temperatures near 100 degrees are forecasted for the Palouse and Columbia Basin.
