Cyclospora Outbreak Spreads Across US, Leaving Thousands Infected

The United States is facing a growing cyclospora outbreak, with thousands of reported cases across the country. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has confirmed that there have been 4,173 laboratory-confirmed domestic cases of cyclosporiasis since May 1, 2026, with an additional 7,400 cases not yet laboratory confirmed. The outbreak has been attributed to contaminated food, with multiple states experiencing an increase in cases.
