Denny Hamlin says Michael Jordan is 'finding out' that he's a force to be reckoned with

Denny Hamlin's impressive start to the season has been making waves in the NASCAR world, and it seems like his business partner, Michael Jordan, is taking note.

Despite struggling in the championship lead after the Phoenix incident and his personal loss of loved one in a house fire, Hamlin has been dominating the tracks, cutting the championship gap to 19 points with nine races left in the regular season.

His recent win at Pocono has cemented his position as the team to beat, and Hamlin is adamant that he's not focused on the points, but on winning races - and lots of them.

After his press conference, Hamlin talked about how his mindset has changed, and how he's more focused on stacking up wins than ever before. He mentioned that Michael Jordan's comment in the off-season, saying he'd be interested to see what Hamlin does after the Phoenix incident, was a challenge that he took to heart.

'Well, I mean, when it happened, I'm fresh off of a lot of stuff going bad,' Hamlin said. 'I'm showing up at the team meeting. We're there to give our motivational speech to 23XI on the season, defining what your expectations are as owners, challenge our guys to get better.'

Hamlin said that Jordan reminded him that even he, the 'greatest sportsman of all-time,' went through adversity and parental loss, and that gave Hamlin the motivation to show what he's made of.

It seems like Michael Jordan is finding out what Denny Hamlin is capable of, and the sports world is taking note. Hamlin's recent win is not only a testament to his skills as a driver but also to his mental toughness and willingness to push through adversity.
