Empowering Women: Halle Berry's Journey into Menopause and Creatine Supplementation

Halle Berry, the renowned actress, has been making headlines for her candid conversation about her personal journey through perimenopause. Recently, she revealed on the February 2026 episode of 'The Run-Through with Vogue' podcast that she has found solace in creatine supplementation to manage a common symptom of menopause: brain fog.

In an era where women's health is often stigmatized, Berry is using her platform to push past these boundaries and share her experiences with an all-new set of vitamins and supplements. Among these, creatine stands out as a vital component in her wellness routine. Berry's decision to add creatine to her regimen was a result of her thorough research and self-exploration, as she reevaluated her approach to health in her late 50s.

"I'm taking an all-new set of vitamins and supplements. Magnesium, I'm taking creatine. I thought, 'Creatine? I'll never take creatine. That's going to blow me up.' No, a girl needs that for brain fog. It helps with brain fog," Berry explained on the podcast. She also emphasized the significance of peptides, along with other supplements, as part of her holistic approach to health.

Berry has made significant changes in her lifestyle since learning more about menopause. This includes adjusting her diet, workouts, and mental health practices. Reflecting on her previous keto-oriented diet, she noted that she now requires a more balanced approach to her nutrition.

'I Tried Creatine for a Year—I'm Still Shocked'

Early research indicates that creatine may have various benefits for women experiencing menopause, including improved muscle strength, bone health, and cognitive function. A 2025 study, which followed 15 women with a mean age of 54, observed significant increases in lower body strength across both groups.

The study's findings are consistent with what Yasi Ansari, MS, RDN, CSSD, senior dietitian at UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center, stated: "Early research suggests creatine may support muscle and bone health, especially post-menopause when estrogen declines." Ansari also pointed out that some studies hint at creatine's potential benefits in memory and concentration under stress or sleep deprivation.

Berry's mission to normalize menopause and break the associated stigma led her to found Respin. She emphasizes that women deserve better information about this stage of life, which can last for decades. Berry's goal is to empower women to take control of their health and navigate the complexities of menopause with confidence.

"I was one of the millions of women who spent 4-5 years of their lives being misdiagnosed, or not diagnosed at all," Berry wrote on the Respin website. On the podcast, she highlighted the importance of understanding the menopausal body, which, unfortunately, is only a small section of medical school training.
