Ex-HYBE Idol Leo Faces Backlash Over Recent Video with Female Idol

Leo, formerly part of HYBE's pre-debut group Trainee A, has once again found himself at the center of a major controversy. His past surfaced due to allegations of misogynistic lyrics, leading to his departure from HYBE. This controversy followed him onto the survival show 'Boys Planet 2' and continued even after his debut with the group ALPHA DRIVE ONE.

Recently, during ALPHA DRIVE ONE's promotional activities, Leo appeared in a TikTok video alongside Sangyeon for izna's official account, featuring another former HYBE trainee, Jeemin. The video, intended to showcase a dance challenge, quickly devolved into a public backlash.

Upon its release, the TikTok video was met with intense criticism directed at Leo's talent, personality, and overall performance in the clip. The negative reaction was so severe that the original poster ultimately deleted the video. However, screenshots and quotes of the reactions have persisted, fueling the ongoing discussion.

Many netizens expressed their disappointment, with comments ranging from critiques of his dancing abilities to broader judgments about his character. One viral tweet succinctly captured the sentiment of many, stating, "leo really can’t do shit omg." Other comments highlighted perceived issues with his performance of the choreography, with one user noting, "why is leo doing an entirely different choreo." Further criticism pointed to his appearance and dancing skills, with a particularly harsh comment suggesting, "leo has been using his ugly face to his advantage... to distract people that he can’t dance for shit." The overall reaction was one of significant disapproval, with another user exclaiming, "what the fuck is he doing omfg, his misogynistic ass can’t even handle female choreo." The widespread negative sentiment surrounding the video has unfortunately overshadowed the group's promotions and brought Leo's past issues back into the spotlight.
