F1 2025: The Wait is Over! Isack Hadjar Takes Vacant Seat at VCARB, Replacing Liam Lawson

Mobilinanews (Italia) - Now that Liam Lawson has officially joined Red Bull Racing, replacing Sergio Perez, the vacant seat at VCARB has been filled by none other than Isack Hadjar, who will join forces with Yuki Tsunoda in the Formula 1 (F1) 2025 season.

Hadjar, a young and talented driver, has been promoted from the Formula 2 (F2) league, where he finished as runner-up behind Gabriel Bortoleto, who has also graduated to the F1 grid to join Kick Sauber.

'I'm thrilled to take on this new role at VCARB. This means the world to me, my family, and everyone who's believed in me from the start,' Hadjar exclaimed in his official statement on Saturday (21/12/2024).

He revealed that joining the elite F1 grid is a dream come true, and he's following in the footsteps of fellow Red Bull Junior graduate, Yuki Tsunoda.

'It's like stepping into a new world, driving a much faster car, and racing against the best drivers in the world. This will be a massive learning curve, and I'm ready to do my best for the team,' he said.

'I hope to work together and learn from Yuki. I've always admired him; he went through the Red Bull Junior program like I did, and we've had similar paths to F1. This will be a great opportunity to learn from him,' Hadjar added.

Before this, Hadjar had the chance to test-drive the RB20 car at Red Bull Racing's pre-season training sessions. His impressive performance caught VCARB's attention, leading to his recruitment.

VCARB's team principal, Laurent Mekies, praised Hadjar, saying he possesses the talent and drive to compete at the highest level, and is confident he'll adapt quickly and make a significant impact.

'We're excited to have Isack join us next year, bringing a fresh dynamic to the team with Yuki in 2025. His journey to Formula 1 has been incredible. He's shown incredible growth,' he said.
