Fans Stunned by YG Idol's Drastic Transformation After Leaving Company

Former TREASURE member Bang Yedam has left fans stunned with his new visuals.

A recent photo of the idol-turned-independent artist has been making rounds online, sparking major shock over his dramatically transformed look.

Gone is the baby-faced idol fans knew from his YG days...

In his place stands a visibly more mature Yedam, sporting a full, fluffy beard and mustache paired with longer hair.

Yedam is taking the drama in stride, appreciating all reactions - even the negative ones...

Reactions have included everything from sheer shock to comparisons to a catfish...

Some have even argued that the new look isn't exactly a downgrade.

It's not like shaving would suddenly reveal a handsome guy hiding under that beard, so I think growing it out isn't a bad choice...

Yedam's visual and musical transformation is a far cry from where he started... After seven years of training at YG Entertainment, he debuted with TREASURE in 2020...

He then went on to sign with GF Entertainment in 2023 and released his debut mini-album "Only One" shortly after.

...Yedam is very much making a name for himself between a genre-bending alter ego, award nominations...

it really helped promote SAY MY NAME...

This sudden change has left fans questioning what to make of Yedam's bold new style and where he's taking his music...

Only time will tell if this drastic transformation pays off for the former YG idol...

A lot will ride on how well his future projects do, which is a heavy weight to bear on the former idol's shoulders...
