Despite his guilty plea, it appears that some fans still celebrate his birthday, sparking controversy. A post made on TikTok was shared on his birthday, earning over 54 thousand likes. The post included a video with the caption 'happy birthday moon taeil.'

A screenshot of the video was posted on X, where it gained similar attention quickly. However, this attention was more focused on the former idol still receiving praise despite his own admission of guilt.
