Elina Svitolina vs Tereza Valentova · Round 2 · Cincinnati Tennis.com - A nail-biting encounter...

RiderTua.com - Hey there, MotoGP fans! We're back to talk about the latest news from the world of two-wheel racing. Recently, Luca Marini, along with Diogo Moreira and Franco Morbidelli, made a visit to the Ayrton Senna Circuit in Goiania, Brazil.
Joining them were Miguel Oliveira, representing Superbike, and Eric Granado, a MotoE rider.
Marini emphasizes that qualifying sessions will be crucial when the race returns to Brazil next week (March 20-22). He also points out that it's impossible to predict which manufacturer will perform best on the track, given that MotoGP has never raced there before.
The 28-year-old Honda Castrol rider highlights the key characteristics of the 3.82km circuit: it's a fast but narrow track with a series of slow and long turns and a short straight line. He believes it will be tough to overtake, particularly due to the short braking distance.
“Ducati and Aprilia have already overcome this issue, while Yamaha and KTM still face challenges,” Marini notes.
When asked about the short braking distance and the need to be cautious when approaching the fast turn, Marini shares his insights.
“When you have a fast turn and a short braking distance, it's even more difficult to overtake. But we'll still give it a shot. Every new track brings a new challenge and a new opportunity for all riders.”
The Ayrton Senna Circuit in Goiania previously hosted a Grand Prix from 1987 to 1989, using 2-stroke engines. To welcome back MotoGP, the track has been resurfaced and upgraded with new facilities.
“During our meeting with the Safety Commission, they showed us videos of all the facilities and buildings they've improved. It's impressive to see the hard work they've put in. I'm excited to see the race there,” Marini concludes.
By the way, Marini has made a strong start to the 2026 season. He finished 12th in the main race on Sunday and 15th without scoring in the sprint on Saturday. After the GP in Thailand, he's currently ranked 11th with 6 points.
