Get Ready for the Ultimate Racing Experience: Crazy Taxi World Tour

Sega is set to revive the classic arcade racing experience with the announcement of Crazy Taxi: World Tour, the latest addition to the iconic series, scheduled to launch in 2027.

This new installment promises to take players on a global adventure, while maintaining the high-speed action and open-city driving that the series is known for.

With significant gameplay improvements and an all-new narrative layer, Crazy Taxi: World Tour is shaping up to be an exhilarating experience. For the first time in the series, players will follow the story of the iconic protagonist, Axel, as he embarks on a journey around the world to expand his taxi business.

The game also features an online multiplayer mode, allowing players to compete or collaborate with other crazy taxi drivers in real-time.

Crazy Taxi: World Tour will be available on various next-generation platforms, including Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2.

Players can already add the game to their wishlist on the Microsoft Store, PlayStation Store, and Steam, with availability on the Nintendo Switch 2 to follow later.

Since its initial release as an arcade title in 1999, Crazy Taxi has become one of Sega's flagship games, with its popularity soaring after it was ported to home consoles like the Dreamcast.

The game's main mechanic, which involves racing through the city to pick up passengers and drop them off at their destinations as quickly as possible, remains the core of the game's adrenaline-fueled experience. The soundtrack, featuring music from renowned rock bands, also returns to create an energetic atmosphere.

Sega promises to share more updates in the coming months, with further announcements to be made as the game's release window approaches in 2027.
