Gilmore Girls Leaving Netflix: A Bittersweet Farewell

Goodbye, Netflix - it's time to move on!

For those who rely on the platform for premium support, please call the usual numbers.

Brew a fresh cup of coffee, because today we have a dose of reality to deal with. After 12 incredible years, Netflix has announced that Gilmore Girls will be leaving their streaming platform. Yes, you heard that right - our beloved Stars Hollow will be saying farewell to Netflix on June 30.

Netflix shared the news via their official X feed, stating, 'It's a show? It's a lifestyle. It's a religion. We are sorry to say that Gilmore Girls Seasons 1-7 will be leaving Netflix in the U.S. on June 30. Raising a cup of coffee to every fan who visited Stars Hollow with us.'

Created by the talented Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino, Gilmore Girls has been a part of Netflix since 2014. This cozy drama gave renewed popularity to the series and inspired the 2016 follow-up miniseries Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. This miniseries provided answers to the burning questions about the lives of Lorelai, Rory, Emily, Luke, and the rest of the gang after the original series finale.

Breath a sigh of relief, though - not all hope is lost! Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life is a Netflix Original series and will remain on the platform. Plus, fans can catch the series on Disney+ and Hulu, too!

We know, we know - some fans are feeling the heartbreak. 'This is a crisis!' one user exclaimed. 'Where am I supposed to go for my daily comfort binge now, Netflix?!' another asked. One fan even quoted the series, saying, 'Oye with the poodles already, Netflix!! Put it back!'
