Google Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL: Everything You Need to Know Before the Official Launch

Google has been making waves in the tech industry with its latest flagship device, the Pixel 11 Pro. The official teaser has been released, and we are just a few days away from the full Made by Google reveal on August 12, where we will finally get to know all the specifications, pricing, and release date of the Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL.

The Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL are not just about cosmetic changes; they pack a punch with some exciting features that are sure to take the tech world by storm. Leaks have revealed some details about the devices, including the expected pricing, which has some of us excited and others worried. The Pixel 11 Pro is expected to start at $899 with 256GB storage, while the Pixel 11 Pro XL will reportedly start at $1,299 with the same 256GB storage.

The official teaser has confirmed the Pixel 11 Pro name and has shown us a familiar camera-bar design that continues the design language of recent Pixel flagships. Google has also teased some of the features of the Pixel 11 Pro, including the Tensor G6 processor, HiLight notification system, cameras, and memory configurations. While Google has not confirmed most of these details, leaks have given us a sneak peek at what to expect.

One of the most exciting aspects of the Pixel 11 Pro is its camera technology. Leaks have pointed to a familiar triple-camera configuration with a 50MP main camera, 48MP ultrawide with macro support, and 48MP periscope telephoto with 5x optical zoom. The front camera is expected to remain at 42MP. While the overall configuration remains similar to Google's previous Pro phones, reports indicate that the main and telephoto cameras will feature refreshed internal sensors.

Google's processing will play a crucial role in determining how useful the extreme end of the 120x Pro Zoom range is. The feature will undoubtedly be a highlight of the Pixel 11 Pro, and we cannot wait to see it in action. The Pixel 11 Pro XL is also expected to have a larger 5,115mAh battery, which will likely improve battery life compared to previous Pro Pixels. While we do not know the specifics about the RAM and storage configurations

Google's teaser makes one thing clear: the Pixel 11 Pro is not a dramatic visual reinvention. The more consequential changes appear to be elsewhere. The Tensor G6 processor and new modem could affect battery life, thermals, and connectivity every day. HiLight adds a genuinely new piece of hardware, while Google's camera strategy appears focused on sensors, computational photography, and extended zoom rather than adding more lenses. The rumored RAM configuration and Pixel 11 Pro XL pricing are less convincing, particularly if the larger phone really starts at $1,299.

We are just a few days away from the official launch, and we are excited to see what Google has in store for us.
