GTA 6 Gameplay Footage Reveal Set for Netflix Premiere: What to Expect

Over a month after Rockstar Games opened pre-orders for GTA 6, the developer is gearing up to kickstart the game’s marketing cycle. Fans have long questioned when Rockstar will reveal GTA 6 gameplay, and it looks like it’s coming later this month.

Rockstar Games announced on social media that it will premiere Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look on Netflix on August 27, 2026. The show will go live at 3 p.m. ET. However, you don’t need to be subscribed to Netflix to tune into the reveal. The announcement video shows Jason and Lucia geared up for action.

If you want to watch on YouTube, you’ll have to wait a little longer. Rockstar announced that it will release the same video on its official YouTube channel and the GTA 6 website six hours after the Netflix premiere. Here are the release times for Rockstar’s new GTA 6 footage on YouTube:

While Rockstar hasn’t officially said if it will premiere a direct look at gameplay, the video’s proximity to the game’s release date seems to suggest so. Previously, Rockstar released the official gameplay video for Red Dead Redemption 2 one month before the game released. Before that, the studio released an official gameplay overview for GTA 5 two months before the game’s launch.

With GTA 6 coming out later this year, it seems apparent that Rockstar is ready to show it properly to the world. Grand Theft Auto 6 is set to be released on PS5 and XBOX Series X|S on November 19, 2026.
