Heat Prepare Backup Plan with Trae Young if Giannis Antetokounmpo Trade Falls Through

Reports are emerging that the Miami Heat are exploring a potential backup plan should their pursuit of Giannis Antetokounmpo fail to materialize.

The plan appears to center around a potential trade for Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young, who has long been rumored as a top target for various teams in the league.

Young, who averaged 28.4 points and 9.7 assists per game last season, would undoubtedly bring a massive upgrade to the Heat's backcourt, and could potentially fill the void left by a potential departure of Jimmy Butler.

The 24-year-old has been linked to a number of teams in recent trade rumors, and it's clear that he's one of the most coveted players available this offseason. However, it remains to be seen whether the Hawks will be willing to part with their young star, and whether the Heat have the assets on hand to make a compelling trade offer.
