Isack Hadjar's Determined Comeback Despite Challenging Monaco GP Qualifying

Hadjar complained about traffic and tire issues at the start of the qualifying session, which left him a second behind his team-mate Max Verstappen. However, he managed to improve his performance in Q2 and competed in the top group again. "I haven't turned enough laps in the same car, and that's been quite detrimental at the end," he said.

Hadjar stressed that the bad qualifying in Q3 was a result of the lost time in FP1. "I think I lost more than half a session. My car was fixed in FP2, but my confidence needed to be rebuilt after a bad day," he explained.

Despite this, Hadjar remained optimistic about taking advantage of his fifth-place qualifying position. "With the performance gap we've seen this season, there might be a few opportunities at Turn 1. Fingers crossed we can be in the mix," he said.
