SERAMBINEWS.COM - Israeli media has reported that the number of casualties among Israeli troops in the Gaza conflict has reached 900, with over 6,000 others injured.
The latest figures include 311 troops killed on October 7-8, 2023, when Hamas launched operation "Al-Aqsa Flood" against Israel and subsequent fighting along the border.
In addition, 589 other Israeli troops were killed, with 456 of them being killed in land attacks in Gaza, as reported by Ynet.
It's worth noting that after about 23 months of fighting, Israeli troops have agreed to a plan to occupy Gaza, starting with the Gaza City, Israeli media reported.
Last June, Israeli troops announced that 21 troops have been killed in Gaza, marking the highest number of casualties since October and November 2024, when most of the casualties occurred during clashes in southern Lebanon, amid tensions between Israel and Hizbullah.
On the other hand, in July, 18 troops were killed in Gaza, many of whom were killed in operational incidents, due to "extreme exhaustion conditions after almost two years of continuous warfare," as reported by Ynet in a Sunday report.
Furthermore, the military announced that 6,213 soldiers have been injured since the Gaza war began; 925 seriously, 1,540 moderately, and 3,748 lightly.
