Jack Draper Joins Withdrawals List for Upcoming Monte-Carlo Masters

Tennis fans eagerly anticipate the start of the clay court season, with the first major ATP event, the Monte-Carlo Masters, set to take place between April 5th to 12th. However, this premier tournament will have some notable absences: Novak Djokovic has confirmed that he will skip the event (his first since 2011), as well as Taylor Fritz.

Two more players have revealed their intentions to sit out the tournament, with Jack Draper from England and Sebastian Korda from the United States among them.

Draper has been out of commission for several months due to a wrist injury sustained at the US Open. His return to the court has been impressive this year, including a hard-fought win over Novak Djokovic at Indian Wells. Despite a disappointing opening round loss at the Miami Open, it appears Draper is in no rush to return to the clay: the Barcelona Open might be his next stop, an ATP 500 event set for April 13th to 19th.

Draper's spot in the main draw has been filled by Sebastian Baez, Daniel Altmaier, Terence Atmane, and Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard.
