Jungkook's Cryptic Hints at Alleged Girlfriend aespa's Winter

Jungkook, a member of the K-pop sensation BTS, has always been known for his love of anime and his dedication to his fans, the ARMY. However, his recent Instagram update has left fans buzzing with excitement as they think they have uncovered another side to his personality.

On June 20, 2026, Jungkook updated his Instagram profile picture with characters from the popular Netflix anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, specifically the male lead David and the female lead Lucy. Initially, fans speculated that Jungkook's update was simply a nod to his love of anime. However, things took a dramatic turn when fans started noticing that Lucy, the female lead from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, bears an uncanny resemblance to aespa's Winter, a fellow K-pop idol and rumored girlfriend of Jungkook.

The internet went into a frenzy when fans started comparing the two characters, noting that Lucy's short blonde hair was almost identical to Winter's current hairstyle for aespa's LEMONADE era. The timing of Jungkook's update seemed too coincidental, sparking rumors that he might be hinting at a romantic relationship with Winter.

Jungkook and Winter have been at the center of dating rumors since late 2025, with fans pointing to alleged matching tattoos and fan-captured sightings. Neither HYBE nor SM Entertainment have confirmed or denied the rumors, leaving fans to draw their own conclusions.

'It's clear that Jungkook is a fan of anime, and he loves to engage with his fans,' says a fan analyst.

However, others are not buying the anime explanation, saying that the similarities between Lucy and Winter's hairstyles are too striking to be a coincidence.

'Jungkook's love of anime is well-known, but this update seems like more than just a harmless nod to his fandom,' says another fan.

The speculation surrounding Jungkook's relationship with Winter has been ongoing for months, with fans eager for confirmation or denials from the two K-pop idols. Meanwhile, aespa's Winter has been enjoying a successful debut with her group, and Jungkook has been hard at work with BTS, releasing hits such as
