K-pop Domination Continues: CORTIS, aespa, LE SSERAFIM, Stray Kids, and More Shine on Billboard World Albums Chart

Billboard has just released its World Albums chart for the week ending June 20, and the results are a testament to the ever-growing international appeal of K-pop. At the top of the chart, CORTIS's latest EP 'GREENGREEN' has returned to the number one spot in its sixth week, continuing its impressive run. Not only did 'GREENGREEN' claim the top spot on the World Albums chart, but it also spent a fifth week in the top 50 of the Billboard 200.

This achievement marks a significant milestone for CORTIS, a relatively new group that has quickly gained popularity in the K-pop scene. With 'GREENGREEN' being their latest release, CORTIS has solidified their position as a force to be reckoned with in the industry. Their debut EP 'COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES' also continues to perform well on the chart, holding steady at number four in its 40th week.

AESPA's latest album 'LEMONADE' slipped to number two in its second week, but still managed to stay strong, landing on the Billboard 200 at number 139. This shows that AESPA is still very much a prominent force in the K-pop world. LE SSERAFIM's 'PUREFLOW' also made some noise on the chart, maintaining its position at number three in its third week and staying strong on the Billboard 200 at number 177.

Stray Kids is another group that has made a significant impact on the World Albums chart. They have landed a total of three albums on this week's chart: 'KARMA' climbed back up to number five in its 42nd week, 'DO IT' rose to number six in its 29th week, and 'ATE' came in at number 24 in its 98th week. With such a strong performance, it's clear that Stray Kids is not going anywhere anytime soon.

MEOVV's new EP 'BITE NOW' also debuted at number seven on the World Albums chart this week, a promising start to their journey. Meanwhile, BTS is also not slowing down, with three albums making it on to the World Albums chart: 'Proof' stayed strong at number eight in its 209th week, 'Map of the Soul: 7 ~The Journey~' ranking number 20 in its 32nd week, and 'Love Yourself: Tear' re-entering the chart at number 25 (marking its 219th week).

ILIT's 'MAMIHLAPINATAPAI' also made it to the top ten, taking number nine in its sixth week on the chart, while Tomorrow X Together's '7TH YEAR: A Moment of Stillness in the Thorns' ranked number 11 in its ninth week. ENHYPEN's 'THE SIN: VANISH' continued its steady performance, holding onto its spot at number 13 in its 21st week on the chart, and NewJeans' 'Get Up' came in at number 18 in its 144th week.

Congratulations to all the artists for their outstanding achievement on the Billboard World Albums chart! Their success is a testament to the immense popularity of K-pop both domestically and internationally. As K-pop continues to rise in global popularity, fans can expect to see even more talented artists breaking into the charts in the near future.
