Korean Actor Runs from the Law After a Night of Drinking and Skipping His Bill

A Korean actor and YouTuber has found himself in hot water after failing to pay his restaurant bill and proceeding to drive drunk.

According to reports, police received a tip on June 15 that the 34-year-old actor had consumed alcohol and dined at a bar in Seoul before leaving without settling the bill.

Police officers tracked down the actor around midnight and administered a breathalyzer test, which revealed a blood alcohol content of over 0.03% - the level at which a driver's license can be suspended in South Korea.

The actor attempted to downplay the incident, claiming he had simply 'forgotten' to pay his bill. He later settled the amount, but the damage had already been done.

The actor, who has appeared in minor film roles since 2015 and runs a YouTube channel with around 200,000 views per video, has since been formally booked under South Korea's Road Traffic Act for drunk driving. No arrest has been confirmed.
