RESCENE has unexpectedly found itself at the center of an airport controversy after a journalist was caught making rude remarks toward the members while they were preparing to depart for KCON LA.

As the group waited at the airport, one reporter attempted to get the members to look toward the cameras by calling out, “could you look over here once?” However, most of the members appeared not to hear the request amid the busy airport environment. Only Woni briefly glanced in the reporter’s direction.

The journalist then appeared to take offense at the lack of response and complained about Woni’s expression.

The comments quickly became controversial after footage of the interaction circulated online. Notably, a woman standing beside the reporter immediately defended the idols, claiming that Woni was not glaring at the journalist.

Netizens have since criticized the journalist’s attitude, arguing that the members simply appeared not to have heard him rather than intentionally ignoring the press.
