The 2026 Formula 1 season is officially underway, and the LEGO Group has something special for Scuderia Ferrari fans to celebrate. Kicking off the Australian Grand Prix weekend in Melbourne, LEGO introduced two display sets that meticulously replicate the 2025 protective gear of star drivers Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton.
To mark the launch of this new collection, LEGO brought the designs to life on the track. Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc were spotted walking in the Melbourne Grand Prix paddock with life-size LEGO helmet replicas, each around 10 inches tall. Designed by LEGO Certified Professional Ryan 'The Brickman' McNaught and his team, these unique, large-scale works of art took 60 hours to assemble, weighing almost 3 kg and using over 3,500 LEGO pieces.
For fans who want to bring the F1 sensation home, the retail versions of these display sets come with intricate details. The Charles Leclerc Helmet, featuring 886 pieces (Set No. 43014), showcases his start number 16, the iconic Scuderia prancing horse logo, and a touching tribute to his father and Jules Bianchi. The Lewis Hamilton Helmet, with 884 pieces (Set No. 43022), accurately captures his signature start number 44. Adding an exclusive layer, both sets come with a printed signature plaque and mark the first time these two drivers have been officially presented as LEGO minifigures in their red Scuderia Ferrari HP racing suits.
'The unique curves and intricate details of these helmets presented a thrilling challenge, and our team worked passionately to ensure every aspect was brought to life,' said John Ho, Model Design Master at the LEGO Group. 'Seeing it all come together in a new scale, in Melbourne, in the hands of two of the world's best drivers, is a truly proud moment for the entire team.'
F1 and LEGO enthusiasts won't have to wait long to add this historic collection to their shelves. Both the Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton LEGO Editions Scuderia Ferrari HP Helmets are now available for pre-order, with a global launch date set for May 1, 2026.
