Lewis Hamilton's Heart-Wrenching Confession at Ferrari

VIVA – Lewis Hamilton is feeling frustrated to the core after failing to finish the Brazilian Grand Prix 2025. The British driver admitted to being 'living a nightmare' while driving for Ferrari, following the disappointing result at the Interlagos circuit in Sao Paulo, last weekend.

Initially, the partnership between Hamilton and Ferrari was expected to be one of the most iconic in F1 history – the sport's most successful driver teaming up with the most legendary team. However, reality is far from their expectations.

'It's a nightmare, and I've been living in it for a long time,' Hamilton said gloomily, quoted by Mirror UK, on November 10, 2025.

Ferrari, which last won the constructors' championship in 2008, has again slumped this season. Hopes were raised when Hamilton, a seven-time world champion, joined the team for the 2025 season. But Ferrari's performance drastically declined in the second half of the season.

Hamilton, aged 40, showed glimmers of hope with his win in the Sprint Race in Shanghai in March. However, he hasn't been able to climb onto a podium in a main Grand Prix event since.

This season has been one of the worst in his career – Hamilton has yet to step onto the podium in a main Grand Prix event.

In Brazil, a country that's known to hold him in high regard, Hamilton was dealt yet another blow. Starting from the outside of the top 10, he was involved in a collision on the first lap after he bumped into Franco Colapinto's (Alpine) car. The race stewards declared Hamilton 'fully responsible' for the collision.

Although fined five seconds, the damage to his Ferrari SF-25 meant that he eventually dropped out of the race on the 40th lap.

'It was a truly terrible and disappointing weekend for everyone in the team,' Hamilton said. 'I tried to stay positive, but it's hard when the results are like this. It feels like being stuck between two dreams – driving for a big team, but not being able to do much.'

Ferrari has had to swallow a bitter pill. Hamilton's teammate, Charles Leclerc, also failed to finish after his car was hit by Kimi Antonelli, who had been thrown out of control after bumping into Oscar Piastri. As a result, Leclerc's left front tire came loose and he was forced to pull out of the race early.
