The case against a man who stalked WWE star Liv Morgan has ended with him being found not guilty by reason of insanity.
An U.S. judge in the Middle District of Florida ruled that Shawn Chan, who was arrested outside of the WWE Performance Center in June 2025, has been found not guilty by reason of insanity and will be released into ICE custody.
Chan, a Canadian in his 40s, was facing up to five years in prison on federal stalking charges. He had flown to Florida in May 2025 and gone to Morgan's private address, where he searched for a spare key and attempted to get in through the front door.
Security footage showed him picking up and holding a long air rifle pellet gun that had been left in the porch area. He left a note that claimed he was there for a friendly visit, and included his address and phone number.
Days later, Chan showed up to the WWE Performance Center and was arrested after being recognized by security.
The legal process went on for a year before concluding today. Two psychologists stated that, because of his mental condition, Chan was unable to grasp the wrongfulness of his actions.
Liv Morgan, the current Women's World Champion in WWE, is competing in the ongoing Queen of the Ring tournament and will face Charlotte Flair in the semifinals on SmackDown this Friday.
