Live: Max Verstappen Continues Nurburgring 24H Prep in Qualifiers

Watch live and for free as Max Verstappen takes part in the Nurburgring 24 Hours qualification.

Four-time Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappen continues his preparations for the Nurburgring 24 Hours this weekend.

The Red Bull driver will return to the legendary German circuit on Saturday and Sunday to participate in the ADAC 24h qualification. This qualification serves as the final clean rehearsal before the full 24-hour race on May 16-17.

Verstappen has confirmed that he will participate in the iconic 24-hour race for the first time next month with a Red Bull-liveried Mercedes-AMG GT3, which he will drive alongside teammates Dani Juncadella, Jules Gounon, and Lucas Auer.

Before that, the four drivers will prepare around the famous 20.8 km Nordschleife - nicknamed the Green Hell - in two four-hour races this weekend.

Although the qualifying rounds do not determine the starting position for the main 24-hour race, they can help a car automatically qualify for the final qualifying segment for the actual event next month.

Saturday, April 18 - Sunday, April 19: 13:30-15:00 - Qualification, 22:30-02:30 - Race.

Sunday, April 19: 13:15-14:45 - Qualification, 15:40-16:40 - Main Qualification, 18:00-22:00 - Race.

Verstappen aims to add to his early experience at the Nordschleife, with one of the two races taking place in the dark.

I need a bit more experience in general, Verstappen told ESPN. I might want to drive towards the evening or late. Just to get an idea of what to expect.

I am not worried about it. I just want to do it. The only chance for that, in my opinion, is in one of the qualifying races.

So, I need to see it. The rest is just procedure with the team, so we are all on the same page with that. And then just refine the setup further.

Also, at the Nordschleife, the weather can be different in one part of the track compared to another. Things like that can happen there.

Verstappen thought he had won on his last visit to the Nurburgring, but his victory was stripped after a tire infringement. Verstappen won on his debut in the GT3 NLS9 class with teammate Chris Lulham last September.
