Manchester United in Advanced Talks to Sign Aurélien Tchouaméni: Ambitious to Rebuild the Midfield in the Post-Casemiro Era

Manchester United is intensifying its efforts to rebuild its midfield by targeting Aurélien Tchouaméni, a French midfielder currently playing for Real Madrid. Following Casemiro's departure, the club sees Tchouaméni as a crucial signing to fill the void and enhance its overall level of play under manager Michael Carrick.

The midfield rebuild is a top priority for Manchester United this season. The club has already secured a deal for Ederson from Atalanta, with the transfer expected to be finalized following the Brazil international's World Cup campaign with his national team. However, the Red Devils' ambitions do not stop there.

Manchester United's management is planning to sign at least one, and potentially two, high-level midfielders, depending on whether Manuel Ugarte leaves the club. Given the difficulties encountered in recruiting other target players, Aurélien Tchouaméni has become the number one priority on their wish list.

Originally, Manchester United was particularly interested in Elliot Anderson, but Manchester City has now taken pole position to sign the young talent. The team then turned its attention to Mateus Fernandes, only for West Ham's exorbitant £80 million demand to scupper the move. Tottenham Hotspur's entry into the fray has further complicated matters.

According to reports, Manchester United's pursuit of Tchouaméni has come about due to these obstacles. Real Madrid is rumored to be open to listening to offers for their French midfielder, with Manchester United having previously discussed the transfer with Tchouaméni's agent before the incident involving Federico Valverde at the Bernabeu.

Aurélien Tchouaméni is more than just a defensive midfielder. At 1.88m tall and 26 years old, he possesses a complete technical toolkit, enabling him to excel in a box-to-box role or drop back to support the defense like a central defender.

Holding experience in the French national team and at Real Madrid, Tchouaméni is poised to bring balance and solidity to Manchester United's midfield. With exceptional spatial awareness, he can get out of pressuring situations and distribute precise, deep passes.

While Tchouaméni's immense potential is undeniable, convincing Real Madrid to let him go remains a significant challenge for Manchester United's negotiators. However, determined to transform the team, the Red Devils are leaving no stone unturned to sign Tchouaméni as their next big recruit at Old Trafford.

Built with a strong French national team and Real Madrid career, Tchouaméni is expected to contribute greatly to the Red Devils.
