Meet the Real MVP: Why Rick Brunson Thinks Jalen Brunson Isn't the Greatest Knicks Player

Rick Brunson, the father of Dallas Mavericks player Jalen Brunson, has been a prominent figure in the basketball world. However, Brunson's greatest Knicks player achievement goes beyond his son's accomplishments. The assistant coach has been an integral part of the team's success, bringing valuable experience and basketball acumen to the table. In this article, we'll explore Brunson's accomplishments and why he believes his greatest Knicks player is not his son, Jalen Brunson.

Brunson's journey with the Knicks began when he joined the team as an assistant coach in 2008. During his stint, he played a crucial role in shaping the team's strategy and helping them become one of the most competitive teams in the league. Brunson's expertise, honed from years of playing in the NBA, helped the Knicks develop a winning mentality that paved the way for their success.

While Jalen Brunson's impressive performances on the court have garnered significant attention, his father's contributions to the team are often overlooked. Brunson's greatest Knicks player, therefore, is not his son, but rather the numerous players he has coached and mentored throughout his career. By providing valuable guidance and support, Brunson has helped his players grow both on and off the court, making him an invaluable asset to the team.
