Mohamed Salah 100% Fit for the 2026 World Cup

Mohamed Salah was surprisingly left out of Liverpool's main squad for the 2025-26 season, often being included on the bench.

A muscle injury plagued Salah, keeping him out of five matches, raising concerns about his fitness for the 2026 World Cup with Egypt.

However, Egypt's national team coach, Hossam Hassan, claimed that Salah was 100% fit and ready to take on the tournament.

"Salah has completed his rehabilitation program with Liverpool and with the national team, and he's now ready for the match," Hassan said, according to ESPN.

Mohamed Salah is Egypt's all-time leading scorer with 65 goals in international appearances. He made his debut in 2011 and has earned 114 caps, also serving as the team's captain.

Egypt will face Belgium in their Group G World Cup opener on Tuesday (June 16) at 2:00 AM WIB. They are also grouped with New Zealand and Iran.

"The first match will be very tough against Belgium. We're strong, confident, and competitive," Hassan concluded.
