Mohamed Salah On the Verge of Beating Cristiano Ronaldo's Highest Salary Record - Al-Ittihad Must Meet 3 Key Conditions

MALANG, DISWAYMALANG.ID– Mohamed Salah's potential salary could surpass Cristiano Ronaldo's highest salary record. The Egyptian striker has reportedly reached a preliminary agreement to join Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad after his contract with Liverpool expires.

Salah has allegedly agreed to join Al-Ittihad as a free agent, but the deal will only be finalized if Al-Ittihad meets three key conditions. According to Disway.id, dated Wednesday (June 9, 2026), the Egyptian striker has requested a compensation package commensurate with his status as one of the world's top players.

Aside from the financial package, Salah also wants a two-to-three-year contract to ensure his stability in the coming years.

But it's not just about the money. Salah also wants to be part of a club with ambitious projects. He wants to join a team that has won titles and can compete at the highest level, not just participate.

Saudi Pro League giants Al-Ittihad are reportedly ready to meet all of Salah's demands. The club, backed by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), is said to offer a three-year contract worth 225 million euros net.

If broken down to a yearly basis, Salah would receive approximately 75 million euros per year. This amount is significantly higher than his current salary at Liverpool and would make him one of the highest-paid players in history.

A salary of around 23.2 million euros per year, and Al-Ittihad's 75 million euros offer per year, is more than six times his current salary. This amount is also higher than various offers reportedly made by European clubs, including Juventus and Fenerbahce.

Cristiano Ronaldo currently holds the record for the highest-paid player in the world, thanks to his lucrative contract with Al-Nassr, which is valued at over 300 million euros per year when including commercial deals and sponsorship.

However, if sponsorships, image rights, commercial bonuses, and business partnerships are included in Salah's deal, his total earnings could potentially surpass Ronaldo's.

This would make Mohamed Salah the highest-paid player in the world, as well as one of the biggest icons in Saudi Pro League's development project.

This is not the first time Saudi Pro League clubs have shown interest in Mohammed Salah. For several years, they have been trying to attract the Liverpool star as part of their strategy to increase the appeal of their competitions.
