MotoGP Brazil Schedule at Ayrton Senna Circuit 2026

RiderTua.com - After a 22-year wait, MotoGP returns to Brazil. The last Brazilian GP was held in 2004, with Brazilian riders dominating the event. This year, the event will be held at the renovated Autodromo Internacional Ayrton Senna Goiania, a 3.835 km track featuring 14 corners and a 1.1 km straight.

The Brazilian GP will mark the return of the MotoGP World Championship to Goiania for the first time in 33 years. The last three times the series visited Goiania were in 1987, 1988, and 1989, with Wayne Gardner (Honda), Eddie Lawson (Yamaha), and Kevin Schwantz (Suzuki) taking the wins.

This weekend, riders will tackle 31 laps in the main event on Sunday and 15 laps in the sprint race on Saturday. Can Aprilia bounce back from last weekend's GP Thailand, where they dominated the event? Or will Ducati take advantage of their rival's weakness?

Ahead of the Brazilian GP, Marc Marquez acknowledged that he's still not fully recovered from his injury. Will his condition improve in time for the event? Expect strong performances from Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia), Pedro Acosta (KTM), and world champion Marc Marquez.

Local hopes are high on rookie Diogo Moreira (LCR Honda) and Franco Morbidelli (VR46 Ducati), who will be racing on home soil. Indonesia's Vega Eda Pratama and Mario Aji will compete in the Moto3 and Moto2 classes, respectively.

The Brazilian GP will kick off at 1 AM local time (WIB) on Sunday, avoiding potential conflicts with Lebaran festivities.

Meanwhile, Gresini suffers another misfortune with their team. They will be seeking to bounce back from yet another setback.
