Nana Shines at Global OTT Awards, Throws Shade at Her Home Burglar

The highly anticipated 2026 Global OTT Awards were held at the Busan Cinema Center Outdoor Theater, bringing together some of Korea's top actors, actresses, and behind-the-scenes talent. Among those in attendance was Nana, who had a stellar night by bagging the Best Supporting Actress award for her role in the hit K-Drama, Climax.

Rising to the stage to accept her well-deserved award, Nana's speech was full of gratitude and humility. She expressed her heartfelt thanks to her colleagues, family, and fans, without which she wouldn't be where she is today. However, it was the final line of her speech that left everyone in stitches and talking.

"Please stay healthy. Watch out for thieves. Be happy," Nana said with a smile, breaking into laughter and applause from the audience. At first glance, it seemed like an innocuous remark, but for those who knew the context, they understood the cleverly crafted shade aimed directly at a person who had caused her pain in the past.

As many of her fans know, Nana endured a traumatic experience last year when a home intruder broke into her residence while she was at home with her mother. The incident took a toll on her, and the trial was a long and arduous process. But Nana didn't let it get her down; instead, she channeled her energy into her craft, delivering outstanding performances that garnered her well-deserved recognition.

The subtle jab at her home burglar was a testament to Nana's resilience and determination. By incorporating it into her acceptance speech, she turned a negative experience into a triumphant moment, proving that she was not only a talented actress but also a strong and courageous individual. Her fans took to social media to praise her wit and spirit, with many admiring her "shady" remark.

The irony of the situation was not lost on anyone, as the home intruder had recently been sentenced in court. Despite the ordeal, Nana's focus remained on her craft and her gratitude towards her fans and colleagues. Her acceptance speech, though brief, was a powerful statement about her character and her ability to rise above adversity.

As the evening drew to a close, Nana's win marked a highlight of the 2026 Global OTT Awards. Her acceptance speech will be remembered for years to come, not just for its heartfelt words but also for the clever twist at the end, which showcased her wit and determination. She continues to be an inspiration to fans both in Korea and abroad, and this win solidifies her position as one of the top actresses in the industry.
