Nana Thows Shade at Home Thief During Award Speech

Celebrity Nana walked away with the Best Supporting Actress award for her role in K-Drama Climax at the Global OTT Awards on June 20, 2026, held at the Busan Cinema Center Outdoor Theater.

After accepting the award, Nana expressed gratitude to her audience and promised to become an even better performer. However, the heartfelt speech took a surprising turn as she concluded by saying, 'Please stay healthy, watch out for thieves, and be happy.' Her seemingly innocuous remark about thieves caught the audience's attention as it subtly highlighted a rather unfortunate and traumatic experience she had gone through with a home burglary incident in the past.

It is well-known that in 2025, a home intruder entered Nana's residence while she was at home. She and her mother who is a black belt in martial arts fought against the intruder and inflicted severe injuries, prompting the thief to attempt to sue them in court. Recently, the court handed down a surprising sentence in the case.

Nana has maintained an incredible spirit and has never let such traumatic experiences get in the way of her professional and personal life. Her quick-witted remark during the award speech further showcased her ability to take even the toughest situations and turn them into opportunities for laughter and inspiration.

Fans are praising Nana's resilience and humor in the face of hardship, praising her for never letting the traumatic home burglary incident weigh her down. One fan, @dnsualxee, on Twitter, praised Nana, stating, 'women >>>>>> loser men.' Another fan, @sangyiverse, praised Nana's ability to 'throw shade at the thief in the most demure way possible,'.

Nana's speech also brought back to mind an incident that occurred just months ago. In February 2026, it was reported that her home burglar had been sentenced to a significant prison term. It remains to be seen how this sentence will affect Nana and others caught up in a similar situation. In any case, her acceptance speech served as a beacon of hope and inspiration for fans.

Nana's talent and strength have been evident to fans for quite some time now. She not only delivers a top-notch performance in every show, but her ability to overcome adversity only adds to her allure. In fact, her acceptance speech during the award show demonstrated that with great talent, resilience, and a positive attitude, even the most difficult challenges can be turned into opportunities for growth and inspiration. The outpouring of support for Nana on social media speaks for itself in that the Korean celebrities are not only talented, but also strong and determined.
