NBA 2K27, the latest installment in the annual basketball video game series, is set to captivate fans around the world. Developed by 2K, the game promises to deliver an unparalleled gaming experience with its cutting-edge graphics, immersive gameplay, and extensive roster of NBA and WNBA teams.

The game's release date has been announced as September 4, with early access available for pre-order customers starting August 28. NBA 2K27 will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC, marking the series' continued push into the next-generation gaming landscape.

3 editions of the game will be available - standard, Deluxe, and limited-time Ultra - each offering unique features and content. The standard edition will cost $59.99, while the Deluxe edition will include 100,000 VC, MyCAREER content, and MyTEAM content. The Ultra edition, available until September 6, will include all the Deluxe edition's features, plus 35,000 VC, a Season 1 Pro Pass, and a Summer Season Pass Pro Pass Bundle.

The cover stars for each edition have been revealed, with Victor Wembanyama, the 20-year-old San Antonio Spurs center, gracing the standard edition. Caitlin Clark, the talented Indiana Fever guard, will feature on the Deluxe edition, making her the first WNBA player to have her own global cover. Derrick Rose, the Chicago Bulls legend, will be showcased on the limited-time Ultra edition.

Wembanyama, Clark, and Rose shared their excitement about representing the game, reflecting the enduring appeal of basketball and the prestige of being on the cover of NBA 2K27. 'To be the face of a game that fuels that hunger for hoops and whose covers immortalize the all-time greats, that's a dream come true for me,' Wembanyama said. Clark added, 'Being on the cover of NBA 2K27 is special because this game reaches fans all over the world. To be the first WNBA player on her own global cover means women's basketball gets to show up on that stage too and I am proud to be part of that.'

Rose echoed their sentiments, 'It's crazy looking back at being on the NBA 2K13 cover to now having my own edition for NBA 2K27. During my journey, there have been coaches who believed in me, teammates who made me better, and fans who showed up louder than I ever expected. So this is a chance to inspire young athletes to stay obsessed with the game, to show them that when you put in the countless hours of hard work, it rewards you.'

Following the gameplay trailer, which drops on July 28, 2K has teased some upcoming events, including the 2K Beats soundtrack release on August 10 and an Apparel Brand Spotlight on August 13. Fans are advised to keep an eye out for something new on August 18, while NBA 2K27 is rated 16+ due to the introduction of 'paid random items' as gambling.
